The House and Senate passsed resolutions that express strong support for Israel as it seeks to defend itself from Hamas rocket attacks against Israeli civilians.

The House resolution (H. Res. 813), introduced by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) and Ranking Member Howard Berman (D-CA), passed by unanimous consent on Nov. 16. The Senate resolution (S. Res. 599), introduced by Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and Mark Kirk (R-IL), passed by unanimous consent on Nov. 15.
